Low Temperature Applications:
Heat gain in chilled systems can increase energy consumption, reduce operating efficiency and prevent the risks associated with condensation dripping from cold surfaces. Nottingham Insulations has the expertise to insulate pipe work and vessels delivering and storing low temperature fluids and gasses.
Low temperature applications require that both the insulation and its protective covering are installed to the highest standards, in order to prevent moisture reaching the cold surfaces. Our operatives have the experience to ensure that the insulation is properly applied and, where necessary, bonded to the plant. And that vapour barriers are correctly installed.
Typical Projects:
- Insulation of vessels and pipe work, associated with a freeze drying plant, using closed cell foams with glass reinforced plastic covering.
- Insulation of piped services to refrigeration plant associated with IT systems.
- Insulation of liquid nitrogen delivery pipe.
